AKB48 ~the greatest Japanese Idol Group~

Akihabara
48 (abbreviated AKB48) is a Japanese idol group produced Yasushi
Akimoto. This group is based in the theater, and consists of 48 members
of the women who were divided into 3 teams: Team A, Team K and Team B,
each of which consists of 16 members.

This group has its own theater
called Theatre AKB48 (IMR Gekijō) in Akihabara, Tokyo. The event is
held 1 time daily show from Monday to Friday, and 2 times a day on
Saturdays and Sundays. Ticket prices show differentiated by age and
sex, \ 2,000 for an adult male audience, and \ 1,000 for an audience of
women or children under 18 years of school. This group has released 10
singles (2 under the indie label and 8 under the major label DefSTAR
Records), and 3 single units, 7 albums, 10 DVDs, and 8 photobook.

AKB48 producer Shin Watanabe wins Award

The
5th Shin Watanabe Award, given every year to Recognize a producer's
contributions to the entertainment industry, was formally presented on
Tuesday. This year's honoree was lyricist / director / producer Yasushi
Akimoto (53), WHO created the idol group AKB48.

AKB48 has changed from
tremendously popular not only in Japan, but overseas as well Also. Last
year, the group held performances in Paris and New York.
